Listen To “Right Now”

Check out the full studio version of “Right Now”, which is streaming on RStar.net (click “audio player” on the top right). This is the song Ryan did with the cheerleaders, and I absolutely LOVE it!

Ryan also posted a video blog to go along with the debut:

First Listen: Breathe & 1159 Studio Versions

Posted September 17, 2008 by Kim

After three different promosquad accounts and having to listen to a ton of terrible bands and awful rap music, I FINALLY was able to hear the three Ryan Star tracks they’re currently streaming (or as they like to call him, Ryan Starr…*sigh*). Both songs sound pretty different, and I’ll admit I’m going to miss the piano driven sound on both of them, but it sounds like the album is coming along nicely. So give them both a listen in the video below OR on our imeem in the side bar.

Now that we’ve all heard the tracks, it would still be a great idea to get on promosquad and rate these songs highly. Here’s a few tips to getting the right tracks:

  • Choose a local radio station that plays singer songwriter type artists. Top 40 stations and especially hip hop stations do not work.
  • Choose rock as your favorite genre and then choose matchbox 20/john mayer/the fray as your favorite artists. Choosing pop > the goo goo dolls didn’t work.
  • The first song I heard was Colbie Collait, and I heard Ryan’s three songs about 7 or 8 songs later.
  • Good luck!

    Catch Ryan on PromoSquad!

Posted September 9, 2008 by Kim

I got a great tip today from my friend Liza. Apparently, they’re streaming three Ryan Star songs on Promosquad.com. One of the songs is “Last Train Home”, that we’ve heard already of course, and the other two are finished versions of “Breathe” and “11:59″! I’m listening now and if either comes up, I’ll try and record it. In the meantime, be sure to sign up for Promosqua so you can give some positive comments to Ryan’s songs.

ETA: I’ve been through their latest songs TWICE under two different usernames and I’ve yet to find any of songs from Ryan. If anyone else has better luck, be sure to let us know.
