Well Tiff will be sending him about ten more questions, so if you have anything else on your mind send it to kimberwyn AT gmail DOT com. Let’s make the deadline Oct. 31st (yup, Halloween!). P.S. I Love You PreviewPosted October 22, 2007 by Kim
Tiffany posted this over on our other site today, and I thought I’d post it here for you guys to check out. It’s the movie P.S. I Love You, which will feature Ryan’s song “Last Train Home”. Here’s a quick synopsis of the fim, which is based on a book by the way:

Tiff is gearing up to see this one but for me….well, let’s just say they’re lucky they’ve got Ryan’s music in it! New Blog With a RyanStarFans.com Mention!Posted September 29, 2007 by LeighAnd here it is:
Swweeeeeeetttt. Go checkout the interview. BOYC Music Video?Posted September 25, 2007 by LeighDescant over at the Rockbandlounge.com forums found this video of a music video of Ryan Star for Back Of Your Car. A bit disturbing to some people but hey, Ryan Star is Ryan Star eh? Exclusive Interview With RyanPosted September 19, 2007 by TiffWe here at RyanStarFans.com have had the chance to have an exclusive interview with Ryan, the man himself. Who asked the questions? You did! Ryan was awesome and took time to answer your questions about his past music, his life right now, and everything we have to look forward to, and that’s a lot! Question: If you hadn’t pursued music, what profession do you think you’d have today (that isn’t music-related)? (From Miel) Ryan: I used to believe that it was the only thing to live for and in some respects I still do but every time I pass a school or see one of those inspiring movies where a teacher makes a difference I feel like I could do that. I just worry about teaching high school girls. Especially these days. I saw that nude photo online of the girl from ‘High School Musical’ and remembered why I sing and don’t teach. Question: Which of your life-changing moments stands out the most? (From Miel) Ryan: There are a few like in everyone’s vault. The first day I heard Pearl Jam, the night I finished the book “Many Lives, Many Masters,” but in recent history I would say when I decided to swallow my indie cred pride and go on an international television show of cover songs to get my voice and name out there. I was so confused I almost went to a psychic the night before because I truly had no idea what was the right thing to do. I closed my eyes and dove in as you know and since then life has been different. Question: What are your thoughts about your fans checking out and being fans of your older music, from the Stage album and earlier? (From Jackie) Ryan: Hi Jackie! I was just out with Justin from Stage last night in my quick visit home in NYC. I told him I just watched the Stage DVD a few days ago and it fired me up to not only get out there in huge ways for r. star but for Stage as well. We were kids and had the dream and it faded with time. Nothing would make me happier than for all of that music to be heard by millions so that when I go touring I can play those songs of my childhood. The guys deserve it too so that we can say it all was for something. Question: Of the songs going to be on the new album, which songs were the easiest to write, which were the most difficult? How did you decide which songs would be on the album? (From Jackie) Ryan: This process was hardly easy this time around. I think between searching for my new statement and being my first proper solo album it was always a challenge. Writing a song called “11:59″ (for now) was memorable because it was the first new song to be written which ultimately opened the flood gates for the rest to follow. As far as what will be on the album I still don’t even know. I wrote a new song called ‘Orphans’ which I just recorded last week. The book isn’t closed yet. More, under the jump! Want To Interview Ryan?Posted September 8, 2007 by KimWell here’s your chance! Sorta… So here’s the deal, Ryan was nice enough to get into contact with Tiffany (care of his awesome photographer friend Zsolt) and is granting us an exclusive interview for RSF! We want to get you guys involved, so send your burning questions to kimberwynATgmailDOTcom. We’ll pick the best ones to include in the interview! The deadline is Monday night! “Last Train Home” On Movie Soundtrack?Posted September 5, 2007 by KimThanks to the always fabulous Liza for showing me this:
It’s from the site Netterk Management if you want to see it for yourself. It shows all the projects the particular mixer is working on at the moment, which includes 13 tracks from Ryan’s up coming album. And I’m thinking they meant “Last Train Home”? Which will apparently be on a movie soundtrack! Awesome. Can’t wait to know what movie. And like my friend Liza was telling me, his songs are PERFECT for movies and even TV. Grey’s Anatomy needs to help a brother out. Updates! Updates! Updates!Posted August 31, 2007 by KimFirst of all, let me introduce the newest member of the RSF team….Leigh! Seriously, Leigh is one of the biggest and most loyal Ryan Star fans out there. He’s already helped us out a lot with the site and we’re happy to have him on as an official staff member. He and I have both been working on getting the site up to speed recently. He’s added more information on the Stage EP tracklisting’s on the Music page. Also, I added the Media page (which is still under construction) with organized links to a ton of youtube videos as well as some streaming Stage tracks, as well as solo material. Lot’s more coming, so stay tuned! Ryan Opens For The Beach BoysPosted August 18, 2007 by Kim
I guess the headline pretty much sums it up! Ryan opened up for the Beach Boys at the State Theater in New Brunswick, New Jersey on Thursday. Nice gig, although the Beach Boys are probably the last group I think of when I hear Ryan’s music! The playlist, according to the fabulous folks over on RockBandLounge.com:
He played for an hour before the show started. The folks over there described the “Right On” as being more of an uptempo song, kind of bridging the gap between Stage’s music and the tracks on SFTEOTE. Neat. Can’t wait to hear it, but I think that goes without saying. Album PromoPosted August 18, 2007 by KimLast Train Home sounds fantastic, doesn’t it? The album needs to drop like, now! Thanks Leigh! « Previous Page — Next Page » |
